Meet the Photographer: Meggie Ellis
Growing up, Meggie always had her nose in a book or a camera in her hand.
From an early age she learned to appreciate the way stories brought people together and the quiet-but-defining moments that bring those stories to life— chasing her younger siblings around the yard, reading them bedtime stories, being inspired by Masterpiece Classics or The Travel Channel with her parents, gardening with her grandpa, cooking for Sunday potlucks with her gran, Friday night ball games and bonfires with her friends, browsing bookshops, the smell of fresh brewed coffee…and of course she loved to capture the details of those moments.
Meggie’s purpose as a photographer became clear a little under a decade ago, as she emerged from the depths of postpartum to realize that her baby was turning two: celebrate this beautiful child and seize the joy this life brings because he is in it!
And don’t stop there. Every mother, child, and family deserves artwork of the precious joy in their home. In this day and age it is so important. It matters.
